Zero Waste Diaper Bag

The best way to be Zero Waste is to be prepared. Babies and Toddlers can bring surprises where ever you go. Whether it's something simple like needing a diaper change or if it's something you need to remind yourself like remember the snacks. Its best to just keep a little list of things you need until you can remember it for yourself.

The most important things that should always be in your diaper bag is of course, the diapers.
Whether its cloth or disposable make sure you keep more then one. I usually keep 2 per kid if we're just going to be out for an hour or two. Any longer and I grab a few more. Along with the diapers I like to keep a reusable changing pad, most diaper bags come with one. For any wet diapers or wipes I have a wetbag.

Another way to keep your diaper bag ready for anything is tiny pouches. The one pictured above is for hand sanitizer, diaper balm, nipple cream for breastfeeding mommy's and some chapstick. I personally love the brand Mountain Time Soap Shop's peppermint lip balm. Not only compostable packaging the company is a 1% for the Planet Member. We gotta love those 3rd party Certifications.

Now hand sanitizer isn't the only thing that can be easier found with pouches. Having two kids keeping spare clothes easy to grab makes those blow out diaper changes a breeze. For that I turn to Stasher Bags. They are also great for keeping those wet wipes wet and the rest of the diaper bag dry.

So we covered diaper changes and extra clothes. But if you're an active mom like me it always helps to keep some first aid and skincare things at the ready. I was gifted some hello bello sunscreen and bug spray and its the perfect size for my bag. So I would like to give everyone a little reminder. Use what you have before you buy more. Luckily hello bello is reef safe.

Next is reusables.
Water bottles for me and my toddler, face masks for stores and plenty of on the road snacks. Reusable snack bags are an easy investment if you have kids. They are slim enough for my tiny amount of space and roomy enough for my oldest favorite snacks. It just so happens that GoGo Squeez is recyclable through terracycle.

If you're going to be gone for a long period of time and going to grab something to eat make sure there's cutlery for everyone.

My side items are a necessity for in car diaper changes, missing pacifier, and that quick grocery trip to grab that one thing.
First thing is a dog poop bag. Before you ask, no I don't have a dog. But when cloth diapering you deal with lots of poop. Its so much easier to have compostable bags to put it into.
After that pacifier pouch, keeps a spare pacifier off the side I can grab when I can't find a sink to rinse off a pacifier that fell on the ground.
Last but not least my chico bag. Hangs in by a latch unfolds in a snap.

The stuff I listed may seem like a lot but remember. Its all based on what I need. You're bag may be different than mine and thats perfectly okay.

Tell me below if you have something different that is completely crazy or completely needed
