Staying Active

Image
It's Saturday, sunny and a slight breeze in the air. Which means we were out of the house by 8:30.          A nice activity we started last week is going to our local farmers market for some fresh produce. Other then chasing a one year old around the park we managed to find some corn, peaches, tomatoes, and carrots all package free, which is always a plus.         After that we drove to Garden of the Gods which is beautiful and a nice hiking trail. But if you're like me and haven't worked out simce you found out you were pregnant with your first kid bring a lot of water and make sure to stop in the shady bits, I think we only hiked a mile there and a mile back. Trust me I loved that air conditioning once we got back to the car.         Last thing we did was go to the zero waste shop for our resupply of laundry detergent and dish soap.        It's only 1:...

Things To Reduce My Waste

So, I recently made a post about what I have packed in my bags for my three day stay at the hospital and I feel like I didn't go into detail about what I was using in order to cut down on whats being used at the hospital.       Before you start stressing over what your baby needs you need to remember that things are going to happen to your body that you want to be prepared for. At the hospital they give you mesh underwear and gaint pads that make you feel like you're wearing a gigantic diaper. To help with ...

Zero Waste Momming: Preparing for Lilah

From the hospital to the house. I have been planning for baby number two since we started trying in Janurary but that doesn't mean you know everything thats going to come up.          I've been planning everything by ear, what comes up, and things I remember with my first daughter, Ella Rose. Which is how I have a few of my bags packed and ready to go and a few more empty and waiting for inspiration.           So far I have 6 bags, I already know that sounds like a lot but let me explain. Bag #1 is my daughter's overnight bag, I'm having a scheduled c-section so my daughter will be at her baby sitters for at least one night so in this bag is going to be her clothes, toiletries, and hairbrush.  Bag #2 is my daughters diaper bag, this bag is for her diapers, wipes, and reusable cup four juices, water, and milk Bag #3 is my breast pump bag, it has my breast pump, my silicon breast pump, breast milk jars, nipple cream, ice packs...

First Blog Post

So my life is a constant mess, with moving, pregnancy, trying to lower my waste, about to have two daughters. A lot can go right and even more can go wrong. But for right now at 6 months pregnant I'm just trying to make a plan and survive. This is basically going to be me writing that plan out. Shouting into the void known as the internet and seeing if anyone else is going through the same issues. Let's try to get over those obstacles together.
